The SAL Annual Review of 2024 Cases on Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Sentencing will feature presentations by authors Ms Norine Tan and Ms Goh Qi Shuen, both Deputy Public Prosecutors from the Attorney-General's Chambers. They will review significant cases from 2024 as well as some key cases from 2023, offering a comprehensive look at the latest developments in criminal procedure, evidence, and sentencing.

The presenters will delve into landmark rulings that highlight evolving trends in criminal law, shedding light on how courts are interpreting and applying legal principles in these areas. They will explore the broader implications of these cases for legal practitioners, law enforcement, and the judicial system, addressing how recent decisions may influence future criminal litigation and sentencing practices in Singapore.

The SAL Annual Review of 2024 Cases on Tort Law will feature presentations by authors Professor Kumaralingam Amirthalingam, Professor at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore, and Professor Gary Chan Kok Yew, Vice Provost (Faculty Matters) & Professor of Law at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University.

The session will focus on significant developments in tort law from 2023 and 2024, offering insights into key cases that have shaped the legal landscape. The presentation will explore the evolving principles in tort law, highlighting judicial trends and their implications for both legal practice and societal interests.
