PROTECTING THOSE WHO CANNOT PROTECT THEMSELVES: INSIGHTS INTO THE MENTAL CAPACITY ACT (11.30am – 1.00pm)
The four authors will examine how the Act safeguards individuals who lack mental capacity and how it has evolved to meet the needs of an ageing and more inclusive society. This seminar also commemorates 15 years of this key legislation in Singapore.

Key topics include assessing mental capacity, appointing decision-makers, and the safeguards in place to ensure the welfare and best interests of vulnerable individuals.
