John Koh is a retired lawyer. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, and Harvard Law School, he practised law between 1980 and 1999, first in the Legal Service and subsequently, as a corporate lawyer in New York and Singapore. He joined Goldman Sachs as an investment banker in 1999 before leaving in 2006 to pursue private business interests in the book industry.
